About Me

Tousa Truce (also known as Xeraphet, Sink, and/or Hadley) is a gender ambiguous lesbian adjacent cryptid from the Appalachian mountains. They use mirror pronouns. They like to spend their free time foraging for wild edible plants and fungi, taking pictures of liminal spaces and reading unhealthy amounts of Transformers fanfiction. Lately they've been on a bead lizard making kick.

Commissions

I am extremely picky with the commissions I do. I encourage people to commission me if they're looking for something that I draw already ; monsters, horror, fantasy, cartoons, abstract drawings and goofy characters. If you are looking for someone to draw a family portrait for you, it won't be me, unless you let me draw everyone as cats. I'm just going to be real with you.

Lately I have been offering drawings in my cartoon style ; sometimes called 'chibi' commissions. These are at a reduced price due to their simple, cute nature. See the above chart for prices. For a comic commission, you can request it to be done in a chibi style and it may reduce the price significantly. There are many options, just ask.

Character references in the cartoon style are also significantly reduced price. Above example I would charge for $50 USD (two fullbody angles / characters in full color).

Alternative art styles are an option as well. I will draw profile pictures for a flat price of $25 USD.

Pieces with extreme detail or intricate line work are some of my favorite styles to offer. They are also some of my most expensive. Prices for these commissions range between $100 for a headshot only, $200 for bust and $300+ for fullbody.

I will draw NSFW concepts for clients who can prove they are legal adults. You may contact me and request further portfolio examples.

Spirit Portraits

"What are spirit portraits?......"Spirit Portraits are a specialized type of commission I offer where I use my sensing abilities as a spirit medium to understand and feel for the spirits that may be around you and then draw them. Essentially, since I often do this at fairs and events, they are like caricatures, but for spirits!"Where/How can I get a spirit portrait?......"Lately I have been offering these special types of commissions at local psychic fair events. These will be drawn on-site and given to you the same day! If you want a more detailed and even a colored piece, you can email me at [email protected] for a commission inquiry and we can go over the details together. You can also receive a fully digital (but still hand drawn) piece for a long distance spirit portrait."What are your prices?........"The flat rate is $55 USD for an in person spirit portrait, drawn in live time and to be given to you that day.For a long distance spirit portrait, aka, a digital piece, it's $100 USD. These pieces are more detailed and allow me to focus better on sensing the energy of the spirit without the distractions of the fairgrounds I usually provide these services at. I can also provide colored spirit portraits with this option, or more than one spirit. You can contact me to discuss the specifics of what you would like further and how it'll affect the price.Where can I see examples of your spirit portraits?Click here for a catalogue of past spirit portraits I've done!"What is a spirit medium?......"For me, being a spirit medium is being someone who channels into subtle energies beyond the tangible world. This includes dreams, auras, emotions, energy and spirits galore. I feel it is my duty to record and document what I experience through either art, music and/or writing, as I don't always understand what I perceive but that is why I must learn from it. Often times mediumship is depicted solely as contacting the dead or receiving messages from loved ones, but I believe it goes farther than that."How did you find out you were a medium / how can I become one?......"I have always been curious of magic and been interested in mythical creatures. Not only that but I believe I had an untapped into gift of sensing and interacting with the unknown. When I was 13 I got my first tarot deck and I kept moving forward from there. Anyone can technically do spirit work but I don't believe it will be the same for everyone. We all have different perspectives and abilities, and strenghtening your sensing will come with time, patience, learning, and a lot of meditation. Don't stress it. I personally recommend starting with spending time with trees and the subtle energies that already exist around you. Don't go jumping into foreign territory, just start with your own backyard."Why do the spirits let you draw them?......"I find that actually a lot of spirits enjoy being drawn. There's lots of records and drawings of deities and spirits from major religions, and without them previously being recorded, modern society wouldn't even know about them. I feel like spirits like to be drawn because they too, want to be remembered. That and also it's just fun to be drawn and meet new people through art. They are alike us in many ways just as they are different in many ways."Is this safe?......"I will not draw any spirits that don't want to be drawn or that seem to dissuade from being perceived. This is left to the discretion I take in being respectful as possible to both parties and also not making bad impressions. It is said when you begin working with spirits, a bell rings in the unseen world, letting all know of your awareness. I would like to stay on good terms with that world! So yes, this is safe."This isn't real. I can't believe you're offering this as a commission, it's all fairy tales......."Okie dokie! You don't have to commission me then. Have a nice day.
